By consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al- Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that Brunei Darussalam will begin fasting on Thursday, 19th of February 2026. The announcement of the sighting of the New Moon of Ramadhan was broadcast through Radio and Television channels nationwide.​
